You are right. Race issues is a touchy subject. When others stop calling us racists-then maybe we can talk. About Bush-does not matter. Every democrat except one voted for the war and if name calling questioning patriotism for disagreeing with the President-is it my fault that no one made an issue of this? Of course later-all the dems came against the war they voted for. I reasonably believe they should resign because either 1. They were asleep at the wheel 2. If they were not getting enough info and felt hoodwinked-perhaps speaking up about this before voting as it is just as bad not having all the info available and most against Obama have been speaking up based on principle. Ultimately-we cannot help democrats are weak. Your weakness-your problem. many Repubs and conservati ves have been speakng up quite a while. People calling you a faggot(well that is what a tea baggedr is) or racist-last time I checked-we know how to make our voices heard and just watch in Nov 2010-it will be a hurtlocker for dems

I recall something similar regarding the fact if you disagreed with President Bush you were a TRAITOR AND COMMUNIST.

I also think that this post is in bad taste. Race is still too sensitive an issue in this country to make light of, and no one can say their have not been some strong racial attacks made against the President.

The issue at is core is this: it has been a very short period of time since the election, and both sides need to give it a rest. Obama is not the massiah or the antichrist. Like anyone else who serves this country weather in office or in uniform he is merely another man, a human being, doing what he believes in, with the power he has, the time he has been given, and the reality he has been presented with.

If anyone us had our entire lives and careers or that of our families or spouses propped up for public scrutiny we would rush to defend them, and level accusations if not outright anger and people who want to paint an unflattering picture of them.

For example if I as one individual decided to call anyone on this forum's wife a whore, they would rightful be upset and punch me in the face. If I put together a group of thousands of people who felt the same way for one reason or another, and if I even had what I felt was reasonable supporting evidence, it would make me or my group anymore right, or justified in our views and opinions, nor would it make you wrong for defending your wife.

We tend to forget sometimes that everyone, from President to peasant is a human being and deserves our respect, and to be treated with dignity, if we disagree with them we should merely attack their actions or the issue at hand. It the only fair and noble thing we can do.
