If by fighting the global War on Terror you mean protecting his oil interests in Iraq then I agree, he was successful in that. Obama has turned his attention to Afghanistan, where the fight actually started, while at the same time keeping domestic issues at the forefront of his agenda. It is ludicrous to think that we can fight and win a "global" war against an enemy that is non-existent. If we continue to fight against "terror" we will be running in circles as our country falls apart at the seams. The terrorists created the terror that the Bush administration was hell bent on attacking. It is more prudent to define an enemy, such as Al Qaeda, and terrorist operatives that have been infiltrating Pakistan, than to come out of the corner swinging blindly. (Which Bush seems to have been since he thought he saw weapons of mass destruction in Iraq?).

Yes, John, how nice that Obama is now focusing on long neglected issues like burying the next generation of Americans in a mountain of debt, making the United States into a socialist country and taking over the auto industry.

Such a shame President Bush was distracted by meaningless things like a global War on Terror and wasn't able to get to the really important business of attempting to destroy our nation from within, like Obama has.

I like sarah palin but is mini mouse really ready to attempt stealing Godzillas last bananna & walk away weakly in highheels? Sarah needs more cagefighting matches in the national cage. Obama should have had 3 or 4 more decades of experience before he tried being president. but we know liberals have a completely different rule. Libs can stuff ballot boxes & say jump to the press and hear how high? Sarah can only beat obama if its by a landslide. she has to cagefight Godzilla.

I think that Palin should take a lesson from Reagan and take advantage of her lame duck status by serving out her time in ways that can productively lead to a better Alaska. If she is so worried about critics than the limelight of national office is going to be a harsh one for her and her family. She made a committement to the people of Alaska to serve as their governer and, personally, I would be very disappointed if I had voted for her. I'm also not sure Reganite of you considered our previous Commander-In-Chief American but his international agena sure did trump any American agenda and Obama's "anti-american" agenda is finally focusing on issues that have been neglected for entirely too long.

It sounds like what? I simply asked the question, and the last thing I want is for Palin to "go away." If you were responding to me, you didn't read what I wrote, nor have you read anything I've written on her. If you responding to Lisa, I think you mis-characterized her point as well.

The liberals would try to destroy her success for the final two years of her governorship by continued distractions. Now she will be able to say she accomplished her mission in 2 years and did the unselfish thing--released Alaska from the fetters of time-consuming, expensive liberal attacks. I was disappointed to see so many on the right portray her as "quitting because of the pressure" or say they were surprised she was a quitter--apparently, these particular folks didn't get to know her AT ALL over the past year. I admit, it is pretty shocking that someone in office has chosen to make an unselfish decision--for State and family--but this is our Sarah! She's just taking her ball to another court--so for the Libs (who are thrilled at the "quitter" theme and think they've destroyed her), I say, "Be afraid..... be VERY afraid!"

In Governor Sarah Palin's resignation statement, she said that frivolous lawsuits and stupid attacks are costing Alaska huge amounts of money as well as administration time and energy.

Knowing that she and her staff had already accomplished most of the goals they had set out to accomplish, and not wanting to further burden Alaska with the cost of idiotic attacks directed at her and her family, she bravely made the right decision and stepped down.

Now, she is free to speak as she needs to without concern that senseless new attacks will cost Alaskan taxpayers more. No more will the idiots be able to use the Governor's office as leverage to try to stop her.

As she said, no more politics as usual. This move was brilliant in that it snatched from the jerks their ability to mess with her via empty ethics complaints. I bet that left them pretty surprised. Now all their left to attack with is 'name calling.''

Neither Sarah Palin nor the people that love and support her will disappear into the night. What many on the left, and even in McCain's slimy camp, is that half of America really does support her.

It doesn't matter to me whether or not she runs for President. That's not the point, and I don't believe that was the point of her resignation. Sarah has always been straight forward. She's never hidden her thoughts and plans. That's the reason so many on the left have chosen to dislike her. (Including the slobs who ran McCain's campaign). I believe what she said in her statement was very well said, and exactly what she meant. Which is why so many of the rest of have chosen to love her.

Having made the courageous decision she has made, she has only made us love her more. Sarah Palin - we're behind you, and we desperately need many more like you. May God Bless you and your family in whatever path you take over the next few years.

Sounds like you got the memo on how to spin this thing from Rambo and Plouffe, they'll be real happy with your "she's finished" spin, what a joke- lol, you WISH!

Palin’s move puts yet more pressure on Obama to finally get some results, as the soaring rhetoric isn’t hypnotizing the plebes like it used to. This week Helen Thomas, Colin Powell, and Warren Buffet all turned on him. Polls are looking droopy for The One lately.

Obama’s porkulus program is a train wreck, all it’s done is bump interest rates and tank the dollar. We are being laughed at by bad guys like Tehran, Pyongyang, and Al Qaida who amazingly turned-down Barack’s friend-requests.

Palin could trounce him in 2012, when Americans would vote for the Gipper-in-Heels in drones- while begging for lower taxes, free enterpise, and a defense posture with some backbone- and an end to the radical, anti-American nightmare we've got now.

Go get ‘em Sarah-

I don't think that Palin is a viable Presidential candidate in 2012, but I do believe that she is a force to be reckoned with. The media and liberals are scared by her - and by the enormous level of support that she has around the country. I and many others anxiously await her next move.

More information on “grassroots” supporters gathering across the nation to support Sarah Palin for President in 2012 can be found online at www.palin4pres2012.com

Note, the website is in danger of crashing due to the flood of readers and supporters signing up to show their interest in a Palin Candidacy. The GOP establishment had better watch out, Sarah Palin and Ron Paul combined with the power of the internet will remove the stranglehold of GOP special interests and the elites who have brought the party to its knees in defeat in the 2008 elections.
