For decades journalists have fought hard to win the ultimate prize and be recognized above their peers. Ever pressing the bar higher and higher, or further and further across the lines of legal, appropriate, necessary, wise and responsible journalism. Justifying anything under the auspice of getting "the Story", as if the ends justify whatever the means. I have to wonder how many soldiers have been injured, or died as a result of "the Story" and/or the cameramen and reporters chasing after it? How is it that "freedom of the press" implies a duty for the military (or the government for that matter) to protect? When clearly non-combatants have no business being on the battle ground. Why do we tolerate anyone who would add even one ounce to the stress load, responsibility, threat or suffering of our young soldiers in combat? Why do we allow such people to jeopardize the efforts, training, tactics, strategy, intelligence, the security of our nation, and the lives of our soldiers?

Headlines: "Journalist is serially raped by tallaban", "2 US Journalists convicted in North Korea"

How many journalists have been kidnapped, raped, imprisoned, or killed? How much ransom money has been paid for the release of journalists? Money that continues to fund terrorist attacks and the death of the innocent. Lets not forget the ensuing media storms that give the terrorists their much wanted attention.

In times of political challenge and instability, those people who would selfishly (though they swear to a cause greater than themselves) place themselves in jeopardy and in the

For hundreds of years it has been very common knowledge that, in some places on this planet, the roles of men and women have been well defined. In many of these places those roles have not changed. Today we face many political and foreign policy challenges. Most of which deal with countries that barely recognize women, let alone appreciate or tolerate their input. North Korea is a good case in point.

I fail to understand why the leadership of the United States would ever send a woman to North Korea to negotiate anything. How do they imagine such an act was viewed by the leadership of North Korea? The highest level western diplomat and U.S. Official to ever meet Kim Jung Il. I can only assume that Kim Jung Il was quite insulted. I am also certain that he was quite happy and relieved that he was under no pressure, nor obligation. Neither he nor his country would

About the Newsweek editor Evan Thomas, who inferred that President Obama is "God,".

While it's disturbing enough to know that there is probably at least a dozen more that agree with Thomas, what's even more disconcerting is remembering various times throughout history when a man was worshipped as God, only to turn around and seriously hurt the very people that worshipped him.

Fortunately, these people are primarily located in only a few areas of the country. (albeit, large cities) On the one hand, that causes them to talk only amongst themselves and believe that their point of view is shared by the majority of Americans. On the other hand, the majority of the country is relatively free from having to listen to them on a daily basis, and more importantly, they aren't teaching in our schools.
