If you personally detest socialism so much, the answers to these questions should be obvious:

1) Have you ever driven on a public road? Thank socialized roads
2) Were you or your children educated in a public school? Thank socialized education
3) Have you ever had to call the Police in an emergency? Thank the socialized police force
4) Have you, or anyone you know, had to call the Fire Department in an emergency? Thank socialism for that too!
5) Have you ever gone to a public library? Guess what is responsible for that!

Public education, roads and emergency services are just a few of the horrors that "socialism" has brought us. Health care is next! Watch out America, we might actually have a system of health care that prefers treating patients over earning profits!

Thanks for the economics "lesson", now let me give you a common sense lesson: the stimulus bill has one of the largest tax cuts in history in it. 95% of American families, the people who need it the most, are getting tax breaks. Instead of being paranoid because a Dem proposed it, why don't you actually look at the bill you are criticizing? Do you even know what the "pork" you are talking about is? Nobody on this page, from the author down, has been able to identify a single item in the bill that could qualify as "pork", yet they are so quick to denounce the bill. I personally find that disturbing.

Got it? Let me give you a history lesson on top of that, free of charge: tax cuts have never worked in the US. Bush's tax cuts and deregulation took the surplus he inherited and turned it into debt. No "fiscally responsible" Republican has ever left office with less debt than his predecessor. Generational theft much?

Sorry, but simply talking down to someone else is not a substitute for proving them wrong. Thanks for playing, though.

I'll gladly get some consistency if you would be willing to compare apples to apples. The value of the tax cuts you mention are projected over a ten year period, and if President Obama has his way (and is there any question that he won't), they will be rolled back. The true cost of the Bush tax costs, as a result, won't come anywhere near the figure you mention. On the other hand, the porkulus bill is spent in two years, and there is nothing we can do to stop it. Economic projections of the true cost of the porkulus, including debt service and extension costs of these "temporary" programs, exceed $3 trillion.

Additionally, and here's the economics lesson for you, tax cuts work. Indiscriminate spending does not. It has been demonstrated that for every dollar in tax cuts, GDP increases by 2.2 to 3 dollars. Spending programs vary among programs, but on average, increase GDP on a dollar for dollar basis. Ask Japan or Argentina (or FDR for that matter) how effective the Keynesian multiplier is for digging a country out of a recession (even though even Keynes argued that MODERATE spending is the key to stimulus, and porkulus can in no way be considered moderate).

Finally, spending programs serve to forward an agenda by benefiting certain segments over others, creating an "aristocracy of pull". The only people who don't directly benefit from tax cuts are people who don't pay taxes, and the benefits to them do trickle down.

Thanks for playing, though.

Why weren't you complaining about "generational theft" when Bush gave out 1.2 trillion dollars in tax cuts a few years ago, effectively putting us in the hole we're in right now?

Get some consistency please.

WE SURROUND THEM - So lets take action!

It's like this - Both the Republicans and Democrats are taking us to hell (aka socialism).

BUT this is a free country and we can choose our own destiny right?
We can choose which route to hell we want to take! What a great choice that is!!!!

You can take the slow-burn route with the Republicans, or you can just get the pain over all at once and take the fast-track route to hell with the Democrats. SO - for at least the next 2 to 4 years, we are going to be on the light-speed fast-track route to hell with Obama and his team / congress.

But that's fine with me - in a way - because I believe that over the next few years people in this country are going to start to WAKE UP and realize that we need to DUMP both parties and eradicate ALL OF THE CORRUPTED LEADERS that are in office.

This can only be done if:
A) People wake up and smell the Socialized coffee, and
B) If those same people are willing to stand up for and defend the values that made this country great - and that requires knowledge, guts, and persistence.

SO - let me ask you the following simple question:
Do you believe in MOST, if not all of the following principles?

1. America is good.
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

If you do , then please visit the following link: (It's not an ad, or a scam - I'm not out to sell you anything or steal your money....)

Feel free to contact me if you wish at wesurroundthem88@gmail.com

Thanks, and have a great day!

Uncle Sam was once rich and could help everybody. But times have changed. He now has to accept the burden of supporting over fifty million blind, lame, feeble, and unemployed Americans. That burden will cost over a trillion dollars annually. Uncle Sam cannot do it alone. This enormous task has to be shared by all of its citizens. Wealthy Americans have over 75 trillion dollars in assets. They would have to bear the brunt of the burden. It would be wonderful if sunny days would shortly return but there is nothing but storm clouds on the horizon. Hope remains because we all can survive by holding hands, tightening our belts and riding out these stormy years.

President Pelosi is proving to be a better chief executive than most people thought. If one was to look at some of her accomplish over the past 12 months they would be impressed. First, she almost single handedly gave her partys' nomination to the weakest and most inexperienced candidate had in an historic election, and hence, made him the ultimate "token" figurehead President in US history. Second, she crafted and successfully guided the largest fiscal bill through the House of Representative. And third, and most importantly, had the power of personality to make the figurehead President actually believe he really is in charge of the country.

I find it ironic that as Gienther goes to Rome for the G-8 economic conference, Pelosi is going too. Ask yourself: Who would you rather talk to in Rome if you were a foreighn leader, Gienther or Pelosi? At least she knows who's in charge.

I would love to find a reason to not support this bill, but unfortunately I couldn't find one here. Do you have any evidence that anything in the bill is pork?

Just saying that it's Obama so we must vote against it is a horrible plan. The American people are going to see that the GOP voted against job creation and tax cuts for the middle class for no reason, because of blog posts like this one.

Maybe you could have some credibility if you actually gave examples of "pork" in this bill instead of just saying that this bill is evil without providing EVIDENCE. I don't think that is too much to ask for.

Why not let it go through? It will only hasten the demise of our enemy. May as well force the big vs small govt issue now, and get it over with. We keep postponing, and postponing, and postponing the inevitable battle that is at the end of all this. We have a chance to finally take it on squarely, we should do it.

No to “stimulus” bill. Here’s why:
Since Obama’s earnest drive to convince the nation to weaken its economic strength through redistribution as well as weaken its national defense, has confirmed the very threats to our Republic’s survival that the Constitution was designed to avert, it no longer is sustainable for the United States Supreme Court and Military Joint Chiefs to refrain from exercising WHAT IS THEIR ABSOLUTE CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY TO DEFEND THE NATION FROM UNLAWFUL USURPATION. The questions of Obama’s Kenyan birth and his father’s Kenyan/British citizenship (admitted on his own website) have been conflated by his sustained unwillingnes to supply his long form birth certificate now under seal, and compounded by his internet posting of a discredited ‘after-the-fact’ short form ‘certificate’. In the absence of these issues being acknowledged and addressed, IT IS MANIFEST THAT OBAMA REMAINS INELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT UNDER ARTICLE 2 OF THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION. Being a 14th Amendment ‘citizen’ is not sufficient. A ‘President’ MUST BE an Article 2 ‘natural born citizen’ AS DEFINED BY THE FRAMERS’ INTENT.
