What a twisted paranoid bunch of crap. Some hoaxster or possibly even a good old fashioned captialistic competitor of McDonalds starts a chainmail that is intended to hurt McDonalds Buisness, and this joker tries to turn it into a political thing. Says more about his politics than anything else. They say it in the United States Military all the time. Regulations are written in blood. This joker and his ilk are nothing but hate mongers,and servants of the devil.

Did anyone bother to contact McDonald's/forward this chain letter? WHEN will Libbies GROW UP and find some new way to harass groups they've decided are "unkewl"??

And for the idiots who need everything spelled out for them, Libbies HATE McDonald's and will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to "punish" them/cause them grief if they possibly can--exactly the same as Republicans HATE Obama and fight him at every turn. Go it now dummies? Good. :)

I don't know how this writer gets the impression that this email was sent by "liberals" -- but I suppose when you're in the business of blaming liberals for everything you don't agree with, it's pretty easy to fall into that habit.
Personally, I don't believe this was sent either by a liberal or conservative -- it seems to not have a political agenda, really, I mean after all, the TCFA is probably a fairly conservative agribusiness organization -- but just somebody with spam in mind.

Skeptical liberal, I agree with you. I have been volunteering 10+ hours a week teaching English as a Second Language classes for the past 6 years and yet my conservative friends still send me several disparaging anti-immigration / foreigner "joke" or "informative" emails a day. I just delete them and pretend to not know that it's their way of personally attacking ME for what I do. Hey, if they think they're saving the world with their photoshopped BS....

Fascinating analysis - the particular chain email was sent to me by a conservative group, urging me to spread the news -- not a liberal one.

In my inbox the number of hoax emails (harmless or not) sent to me by conservatives far, far outnumber those sent to me by liberals, though my correspondents are the other way round (more liberals than conservatives). Care to speculate as to why?

hoax or not, check out no nais dot org where you can get the skinny on NAIS-national animal id system, a real USDA program that will require everyone who owns even one livestock type animal, even as a pet, to register their property with the govt, microchip every animal they own, file reports on every birth, death and off property movement on those animals, face depopulation should animal disease be suspected....all this with the costs of time money and loss of personal freedoms, just so corporate ag can say the meat raised in factory farms can be sold on the global level and tell the buyers it is safe. corp ag gets one lot per groups of animals raised on factory farms. I only wish this were a hoax and McD's supports this program.

McDonald's track record of not killing its customers is the best in the world. It generally is not in the best of interests of restaurants to kill their clients. If anything could take out McDonald's, it would be a rash of food-borne illness.

What motive do they have to try to kill you? And what exactly has government done to make you so confident in its regulatory abilities, other than killing hundreds of thousands of people every year by not streamlining their process for approving new drugs?

I will not address your ridiculous points about child labor and the like. You know that isn't what I was arguing for.

Yes, definitely don't want the gov to intrude into business. Let's just trust those corporations and banks to only want the "best" for the average citizen. No need for regulations on safety and trade. Let's go back to the 1890's and have no laws regarding child labor, working hours, etc. Don't worry about the peanut butter producing company that ignores the tests and sells tainted peanut butter to other food companies. What's the problem with death and illness caused by bad food! What's the problem with predatory lending and bad mortgages!

Agree with you regarding government intrusion in business---but still, what IS the beef at McD's like?
Will their using meat from another country be unsafe or not?
