This poll shows just how many Americans took Obama's foggy promise of hope and change and projected their own image of what that means onto Obama's empty shirt. When asked who they would most like Obama to be similar to, the winning response was his direct ideological counterpart, Ronald Reagan.
Good answer. But electing the Anti-Reagan is a weird way to go about it.
When American voters were asked which past President of the United States they believe Barack Obama should model his new presidency after, they did not pick Abraham Lincoln or John F. Kennedy, or even George Washington as their top choice. They picked Ronald Reagan.
According to a nationwide survey conducted by Clarus Research Group this past week, Reagan was the top choice among all voters with 26 percent, followed by Franklin Roosevelt with 18%, Kennedy with 17% and Lincoln with 13%."
Most likely, the majority of those who picked Reagan didn't actually vote for Obama. But I know some who did. Well done.
