Thanks, Jeff. I know from looking at your site that we probably agree on most things, so your harshness in your first comment made me a little defensive.

Yeah, my usage of the word probably seemed flippant to the average person. But there was a reason behind it - I lived in an apartment complex that housed a minor league hockey team last year - it was a wake-up call.

Then again, sometimes I just feel like being flippant. So forgive in advance when and if it happens again.

While it is true that I have very few posts to date, I am also very new to 'blogging.

Please take the criticism only for what it was meant to be.

I completely agree with you that Avery should have gotten his desserts on ice ! (and would have set my DVR for every Stars game just to watch it unfold)

My only difficulty with your post was the free use of the term slut for someone with which, seemingly, you have likely had no personal contact - and likely would never use such a term in direct speech.

I forgot that sometimes you have to point out the unpleasant to help people see where they are wrong. You may be very correct in your use of the term.

My criticism was only to point out a need for the extending of plain decency.

Therefore, I apologize for implying your childishness and for thinking you to be simple-minded. Maybe a thesaurus will do me some good as well.

While I do not know that I will ever achieve your level of success as far as a blogger goes, I do truly appreciate your bestowing on me your wishes of Good Luck.

I take it you don't know many hockey players and the groupies who chase them. I do. Women who go from hockey player to hockey player spreading themselves tend to be sluts, from my experience. They are a well-defined category of women. And if the two in the story don't wish to be associated with other women who are like that, they should cease to act like them.

The overrated, irrelevant player in an irrelevant league still has a right to be an idiot. He should have been punished by the players he offended. On the ice, not off it. And the NHL is dying because it suspends people it should be marketing. Nobody has paid this much to the NHL in a decade.

Some criticize, others do. Apparently you would rather criticize me, because it's a lot easier than actually building a successful blog on your own. Good luck with that.
