When asked at today's press conference about whether or not he had met with recent Presidents, Obama clarified that he had met with the living ones. And then delivered the above line to laughs from the press corps.
Classy. Good to see Obama is already showing that spirit of bi-partisanship he's so famous for. He takes his first press conference as President Elect to attack the wife of the most widely-loved President of the last half-century? Is this appropriate? Is this a sign of a man who is intent on working with the other side to repair the divide in America? Forgive me if I don't see it that way.
I wrote the headline before I had the exact wording, here it is:
"I have spoken to all of them who are living," he says. "I didn’t want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances."
