You are looking at it from a very biased point of view. Hannity and Colmes split everything evenly. They take turns badgering the ones they disagree with until the other steps in belatedly. From what I can tell, they even try to do it every other break, switching back and forth between who gets to take the lead and who has to play defense at the end.

If you looked at any full week of the show, I promise you Hannity and Colmes would be within a minute of each other in total time spent on offense, defense, sucking up to people who agree with them, etc. It's a near-perfect mix, and you'd have to be biased to find any pattern other than what I just noted.

Guests are almost 50/50 splits conservative/liberal. Hannity does seem to have an advantage in choice of topics, but my guess is that's because he is more in tune with what a FOX viewer wants to hear talked about.

But Colmes was never more than window dressing on what is Hannity's show all the way. The topics, choice of guests, and the practice of letting Hannity badger guests for several minutes uninterrupted, until stepping in belatedly--it will be hard to find a serious left-leaning journalist who will agree to participate on those terms.

How awesome would that be, common sense vs. no sense at all. Regardless of who it is FOX is stacking their network with some great conservative talent with the addition of Glenn Beck. Gearing up for the fairness doctrine may be their hidden agenda cause its gotta be alot harder to shut up a whole network with so many viewers who are educated and intollerable to liberal mandates. It's gonna be interesting to see who the pick will be for Hannity, but I agree, he does need to be contested or MSNBC might catch up in the ratings. That is a plus for FOX News being they are truly for the most part fair and balanced. Lets see if they stick with whats been working for a long time.

He latches onto a few things that really matter, and doesn't stop until everyone has to answer it and everyone who has ever seen him knows about it.

IMO, he was responsible for President Bush winning in 2004 and would have been responsible if Obama lost this year.
