Drudge summed it up in one word: BORING.
I can't disagree, and I'm a junkie. If I thought that, what did the average person think? There were no winners tonight. And McCain, while not desperate, certainly could have used a decisive win.
The questions were repetitive, McCain was mediocre and Obama continued his annoying practice of always talking about what has happened and never saying what he would do or has done in the past. Except on healthcare, which he said was a "right." Somehow I missed that one in the Constitution. If that is a winning answer in today's America, then I've lost the country that I once knew.
Do I think McCain won? Sure. He's clearly the only candidate who has ever done anything regarding most of the issues discussed. And of course, every time Obama opens his mouth I think "socialist."
UPDATE: Now I know why.
But do I think most people will see it that way? No way. Do I think most people stayed awake through it all without changing the channel? Not on your life.
Chalk this one up as a missed opportunity.
Incidentally, Ace of Spades has a great cheat-sheet for those who "missed" it: HERE.
