I missed it, but I'll direct you to Bill Dupray of the Patriot Room who has video up:
She just shines right through the fog, muck, dreariness of this campaign. There is no doubt she would have crushed Obama last night and could beat him in the general. Both candidates last night were gloomy, doomsday politicians. Palin would have brought her sunny, Reaganesque, can-do American spirit to that debate and convinced voters that we Americans have gone through much worse and come through smelling like a rose, and we can do it again.
Witness, once again, the future president in action.
Bill and I rarely disagree, which right there makes him one of the best bloggers on the net. So I'll take his word for it for now and watch it later tonight. I also need to watch the Hannity interview on Tivo.
UPDATE: Shocker, I don't disagree at all. And the second part is just awesome and very Reaganesque. These videos are from yesterday, just for the record.
You can watch Palin and John McCain with Hannity here. I am doing so as we speak.
Part 1 - McCain calls Palin one of the foremost experts on oil, which of course, she is. And a great performer. Praise for taking on and beating an incumbent Governor from her own party. McCain says he may go take a look at ANWR to see if he can be swayed on drilling there. Interesting to remember that Hannity has been one of McCain's biggest critics until McCain was matched up with the socialist.
Part 2 - McCain and Palin effectively go on the attack against Obama on experience and poor judgment, plus criticism of Obama's very limited record. Palin says Obama has a "gross misunderstanding of what our troops are doing" in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hannity points out that Biden criticized Obama on the same things in the primaries. McCain laughs at the thought that Obama is a tax cutter. Points out Obama's idiotic claim that 95% of Americans will receive tax cuts is ludicrous when 45% don't pay any federal income tax already. Attacks Obama on small businesses. Palin hits Obama for requesting $1 million per day in earmarks. Great segment altogether. McCain, "Again, look at the record." Then laughing at "It's only $18 billion." Hits on Fannie and Freddie contributions at the end.
Part 3 - Obama's radical associations, including Bill Ayres mostly. Judgment. Palin on Obama's "conflicting stories, truthfulness." Hannity is perfect here, since he's the only person in the MSM who has investigated this. McCain hits Obama on not being candid and straightforward. "It's clear he was more than just a guy in the neeighborhood." Nice, McCain brings up ACORN.
Part 4 - McCain's life story. Hannity brings up Dems quotes on our troops, something he is very effective and practised at doing from his radio show. McCain: "Words matter." Relationship between the two and how Palin was picked. McCain wanted "someone who could shake things up in Washington and perform. A real breath of fresh air that could sweep across America. Reform... and restore trust and confidence. It's not an accident that she is the most popular Governor in America." Palin: "I've been a big fan of his for his independent spirit." Both say they like being underdogs.
Great interview, even for a conservative who is shaky on McCain on a few issues.
