I thought the debate went well for Sarah Palin, she can clearly handle herself, but it's become clear that I don't see things like the rest of America does today, so I see no need to comment on who won. Best moment was Palin saying she was clearly an outsider and didn't get you hypocritical politician-types answer. (I'm paraphrasing,)
Joe Biden's closing pissed me off though, when he said something along the lines of, "Noone can deny that the last 8 years have been bad for most Americans." (I'll get the exact quote at some point.)
You don't speak for me, Joe Biden. I can, and will, deny that the last 8 years have been bad for America. The last two years, since your party got in control of Congress, have certainly been hellish. But America was prospering before your party took over the reigns.
Gas was cheaper than milk in 2006. The market was booming. The economy was prospering. Unemployment was historically low. The GDP was growing vigorously. You people messed this up, Joe Biden. America voted for change and the most hated Congress in American history screwed them. So don't think you can tell me what I need to think. You have never spoken for me, and despite your "Scranton Joe" image making, you have rarely spoken for the American people.
UPDATE: Focus group shows almost everyone thought Palin won, among previously undecideds. This could be better than I had hoped.
What did you think about the debate. Note to astroturfers masquerading as "concerned Christian Republicans": Stuff it. Your comments will either be deleted or relentlessly mocked.
