Since I'm a huge Miami Dolphins fan, I can say first hand that Mr. Huizenga is not a cheep guy. He already donates a ton to charity, especially in south Florida. I just wanted to make this clear before I continue... I agree with Mr. Huizenga 110% regarding the whole capital gains thing (That's coming from a regular 9-5 guy like myself that makes anywhere from $40-$50 a year). I also think it's very sad to see how easily Obama, and the Pro Obama media have brainwashed the naive voters of this country. Total BS! God help us for the next 4 years...

Hopefully it is clear that Mr. Huizenga is selling the team because, as he says "it's kind of time", and not because of Obama's policies. He is merely adjusting the timing of the sale due to Obama's policies, which is wise from his perspective given he was planning to sell anyway. But from society's perspective, who cares? Society at large doesn't care whether Mr. Huizenga owns the team or whether I own the team. There are costs and benefits associated with a professional football team, which don't necessarily change just because ownership change. If Mr. Huizenga is going to give millions to charity as a result of this transaction, that's wonderful. I'm glad he is doing so sooner rather than later.

By the way, does anyone else wonder how Mr. Huizenga became so financially successful when simple math seems to confuse him and he advertises to buyers that he is going to be in a hurry to sell?

And of course, you didn't think I'm going to leave any mention of capital gains taxes without reminding everyone that Obama's proposed 20% capital gains tax rate is 8% lower than under the beloved Ronald Reagan.

What's 30 mil between tax payers, huh? Just imagine if he did sell his shares and gave that 30 million to charity? Mr. Huizenga could actually distribute his wealth as he sees fit.

Now that is American.
