Steve Pavlina of StevePavlina.com, also known as Personal Development for Smart People, was gracious enough to send me a copy of his new book by the same name. Steve's website is the top personal development website in the world, and you could read an article a day on there for the next year, still have plenty of material left, and be a much more successful, productive and happier person.
I owe Steve a debt of gratitude for his great website. A handful of his articles have helped me convince myself that I could succeed without a real "job" as long as I provided real value to people. He gave me the courage and the tools needed to become more productive. My faith in God had already done wonders for my self-confidence in my abilities, and his blog cemented it. I know how to achieve any goal I set for myself now, and he has a great deal to do with that. And it was all free and available on his great site. Thank you, Steve.
As a loyal reader of Conservatism Today, I know that you are a smart person. If you follow the advice and utillize the tools he gives you to succeed, you will be able to transform any area of your life. He makes no bones about it being easy, it isn't. But if you can control your mind and discipline yourself, skills he teaches, you can do it in a very short period of time.
I have not read the book yet, as I just received it ten minutes ago. But it is an Amazon.com bestseller already, pre-release to the general public. Because I believe it, if it's anything like the other material on his site, has so much potential to help your life, I will be giving an in-depth, chapter by chapter review over the next few days. He promises the book goes above and beyond anything at his site, which, as you can tell from my previous words, would blow me away if true. Check out the site while I'm working on my review. You won't be disappointed, and it seriously could help you change your life for the better.
If you wish to check out the book for yourself, please do me a favor and use my links. I'll be back with the review of Chapter 1 after I read it.
UPDATE: The book is broken down into two parts, so I will review them separately instead of chapter by chapter. I'm most of the way through Part I and all I can say is.... best book ever.
UPDATE: I have an interview scheduled with Steve for the middle of next month when he gets back from a conference. I will probably wait until then to post my review. From what I have read, 2/3 of the book, I already know that I can recommend this book without reservations. Great job Steve, and I look forward to our interview.
