Chris of Rights has a brilliant piece up where he questions whether or not Obama is a Marxist/Socialist and ultimately decides the answer is "yes." It is very in depth and full of excellent analysis and reporting on Obama's prior associations, actions, and words. I believe if every American read this, Obama would be trounced in a landslide. I'll highlight just a couple of the things he points of here:
Obama says, "All of my life, I carried a single image of my father, one that I .. tried to take as my own." But what do we know about his father? We know that he supported
:
- 100% taxation
- communal farms / the elimination of private farming
- the nationalization of businesses owned by “Europeans” and “Asians”.
- “active” measures to bring about a classless society
- And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion
- Compare to “Religion is the opiate of the masses”, Karl Marx, 1843
- Each of you will have the chance to make your own discovery in the years to come. And I say “chance” because you won’t have to take it. There’s no community service requirement in the real world; no one forcing you to care. You can take your diploma, walk off this stage, and chase only after the big house and the nice suits and all the other things that our money culture says you should by. You can choose to narrow your concerns and live your life in a way that tries to keep your story separate from America’s.
But I hope you don’t. Not because you have an obligation to those who are less fortunate, though you do have that obligation. Not because you have a debt to all those who helped you get here, though you do have that debt.
It’s because you have an obligation to yourself. Because our individual salvation depends on collective salvation. Because thinking only about yourself, fulfilling your immediate wants and needs, betrays a poverty of ambition. Because it’s only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential and discover the role you’ll play in writing the next great chapter in America’s story. And, as a reminder, the 10 Planks of the Communist Manifesto

Or, to sum up, as Marx himself did: "A sympathy for the working class or proletariat and a belief that the ultimate interests of workers best match those of humanity in general."
Where does Obama's Blueprint stack up?
Much, much more there by following the link at the top of the page. What do you think, is Obama a Marxist/Socialist? I've been calling him such since I first heard him speak at Arizona State University last fall. This boatload of material backs me up like nothing I've seen in one place.
