Thing is, when you look at the results of the Democratic presidential primaries, you see a campaign that was vet much about race. Barack Hussein Obama captured 90% of the black vote, because he is black. The Democrats even moved up the South Carolina primary, specifically to give blacks more of a voice in the nominating process!

But it's more than that, and the South Carolina results were simply the most instructive. I noted, way back in January, that the results of the SC primary has Mr Obama winning among black voters, Hillary Clinton winning among white women, and John Edwards winning among white men, in a primary which attracted only 4% Republican participation.

Once John Edwards dropped out of the race, and the white vote was no longer split, Mrs Clinton carried a majority of the votes!

The Clintons were the ones to make the racial appeal: they started in South Carolina, and hit it big time in Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Mrs Clinton even said, at one point, that she was the candidate of "hard-working Americans, white Americans."

You see this kind of demagoguery all the time. When Steve Newton wrote, on one of my favorite liberal websites:

in the mid- to late-1950s, the Dems decided segregation and racial divisiveness were anathema to American principles. At which time, all the segregationists found a snug, comfy home in the GOP.

Which is, of course, why George Wallace ran for President as a Republican in 1972

Which was a great bit of demagoguery, until someone pointed out that George Wallace ran for the 1972 Democratic presidential nomination. :)

And it's not even close to the first time Dean has done it. The fact that they would even let this clown run their National Committee tells you quite a bit about the party.

Dean is playing the race card. DEM party is so disgusting. Their presumptuous nominee plays the race card. The DNC chairman plays the race card. Despicable!
