John Hawkins over at Right Wing News breaks down a list of 24 of the most likely goofballs who are in the running to be Obama's VP selection.
I see that my governor (well not my governor, but the governor who won election in my state) makes the list.
The Democratic governor of Arizona could be a go-to-gal if Barack feels like he needs a woman on the ticket, but can't bear to reach out to the wicked witch of New York. On the other hand, Napolitano is a liberal governor, with almost no national name recognition, who has only been in office since 2002 and probably couldn't even carry her own state for Obama. That would seem to make her an unlikely selection.
If Obama were to choose Janet Napolitano, I'd be in a real conundrum. I have to admit, the idea of jettisoning J-No out of state brings much more pleasure to my mind than the thought of John McCain being President. It even brings me more pleasure than thought of Barack not being President.
Six years or so reminiscent of the Jimmy Carter-caused 1977-82 disaster, in exchange for a possible Governor JD Hayworth in Arizona and a re-positioning of the Republican Party in time for 2012? Intrigue.
